A definite decision to abandon the point-to-point meeting for the current season was reached by the committee of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club yesterday. Weather 'conditions which enforced a postponement of the first day of the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s meeting from Thursday to Friday of last week also interfered with plans for the point-to-point, which in the ordinary course would have been held last Friday.
