WANGANUI. this day. | Two good professional bouts were staged last night by the recently-re-vived Wanganui Boxing Association, before a good house. The main bout was between B. McLachlan, Auckland, 9.8., and Pat Murphy, of Ireland, 9.7, McLachian securing a popular points victory after ■ being the aggressor throughout. ■ Murphy fought back gamely and in the final round kept McLachian on the move. The other bout, which was more spectacular, was between Joe Hanson, ' of Pelone, 9.2, and D. Carbln, of Wellington. 9.5. Hanson securing a points victory*. The bout was hard fought with plenty of exchanges of heavy blows, excitement running high in the final rounds when Hanson ', sought to secure a knock-out.
