WAI-O-MATATINI NEWS
PLANS FOR MAORI Tin (Herald Correspondent.) Although the Lady Alice Ngata Memorial Hall, Wai-o-matatini, had been extensively damaged by the recent storm Sir Apirana Ngata has decided to hold the Wai-o-matatini hui on a later dale than was originally announced. The Wairoa tun will follow shortly alter.
Sir Apirana Ngata's home at Wai-o-matatini is not damaged by the storm bul th e ground at the back was covered with mud several leet high Sheets of corrugated iron had to bused to prevent the mud bursting through the windows. A creek ha: scoured a large hole beneath tin school-I*ousc.
