NEGROES IN TITLE FIGHT
Three world champions will defend their boxing crowns during the next few months.
Joe Louis fights his No. 1 challenger. Max Schmeling, on June 22. Barney Ross. welterweight, is matched to fight the sensational negro fighter, Henry Armstrong, on May 20, and Lou Ambers, holder of the lightweight title, has also to answer a challenge from Armstrong within 30 days of his 'battle with Ross.
Armstrong is an amazing lighter. Though he holds the featherweight title, he will scale in the vicinity of lOst. when he meets Ross. And as Ross is reported to have difficulty in making the welterweight limit at 2 o'clock, the negro will probably be as, strong as he.
