Tietjens, of Hamilton, who was charged with driving a car the mechanical order of which was likely to cause injury to some person. Evidence was given that the vehicle had no windscreen wiper, no rear vision mirror, no horn, no lights, no hand-brake, a defective foot-brake. loose spokes in the wheels, one realwheel loose on tehe avle, insufficient grease and lubrication in the steering, and that it was tied in many places with string and wire. Defendant was fined £4, and on a further charge of not having his vehicle equipped with a warrant of fitness hv was lined £l.
