PAEROA-POKENO RAILWAY
PRELIMINARY CONTRACTS An area defined for the centre portion of the Pokeno-Paeroa railway line has just been gazetted and several other preliminary measures to actual operations on the line are announced. The Public Works Department ha.' let a contract for temporary offices at Paeroa, and also contracts for the erection of four cottages at Pokeno for railway employees. The contract prices for the cottages total about £4OOO.
