JUVENILE RECHABITES

GISBORNE TENT THIRD FOR RASH SHIELD The fortnightly meeting of the Gisborne juvenile Rechabites was held last evening in the Selvyn Hall. In the absence of the C.R., Bro. Bob Pollock, the chair was taken by D.C.R., Bro. Lance Olsen. Owing to the inclemency of the weather there was only a fair attendance of members.

The superintendent reported that the Centenary Tent in Christchurch had won the Rash Shield competition for 1937 with 04 points. • Tawera Tent was second with 55 points, and Gisborne Tent thin! with 41 points. The committee reported upon the last dance held and members were pleased to hear that, though the evening was very wet, the function was a great success. As the series of dances are held mainly for the enjoyment of members and their friends, much discussion took place on the duties and the method of issuing invitations. The discussion was adjourned until the next dance on May 10, after which invitations must be presented at the door. The installation of officers for the ensuing term took place, as follows: CR Bro Lance Olsen: D.R., Bro. John Hadwen; levite, Bro. W. Pritchard; guardian, Sister M. Phillips: book stewards, Sister P. -Miller; cash steward Sister B. Overend; secretary, Bro. Gavin Wyllie: P.C.R., Bro. Bob Pollock. „ . A short period of dancing follower!.
