OPENING DAY SATURDAY POVERTY BAY ASSOCIATION TRIAL GAMES ARRANGED Arrangements have been made by the Povertv Bay Football Association for trial games to be played at the Childers Road Reserve on Saturday, by way of inaugurating the Association football season in Poverty Bay. In the senior grade, the trial games will be: United v. Wanderers; Thistle v. Mercantile. Both games will commence at 2.30 p.m.

All junior players are asked to report at the reserve at 1 p.m., and any others who are interested in the code will be given coaching on the held and a chance to try themselves in a practice game. Schoolboys will turn out at 10 a.m.. and games will be arranged according to the representation of schools. A working-bee is to be held on the reserve during the morning, and each senior club has been asked to furnish at least two workers. Those present at the executive meeting last night comprised Messrs. G. Morton, chairman, H. McCallum, hon. secretary, Simmons, Taylor, McLean, Parkin, Mohan. Crawford and Waugh.
