An explosion beneath the concrete pavement in the Mersey Tunnel, Liverpool, started a fire, which held up a three-mile traffic stream. Another of London’s churches, St Anselm's, in Davies street, Berkeley Square, W.l, built only 41 years ago, is to be demolished. Its parish is to be shared between St. George’s, Hanover square, and St. Mark’s, North Audley street.
