NO COINS IN PUDDINGS
NEW THREEPENNY PIECES MINT OFFERS ADVICE LONDON, Oct. 12. A special warning not to put the new threepenny pieces in Christmas puddings was issued by the authorities of the Royal Mint to-day. "The coins are a combination of brass and nickel," an official said. "A pudding would not necessarily be poisoned by their inclusion, although if enough of the metal were dissolved, possibly this would be so. "The mint's advice is to put no coins in the puddings, as the coins all contain a large amount of alloy."
