RECORD FLIGHT BID
MISS BATTEN’S PLANS START ON THURSDAY (Reed. Oct. 12, noon. SYDNEY, Oct. 12. The New Zealand airwoman, Miss Jean Batten, will leave Richmond aerodrome on Thursday morning. She expects to reach Cloncurry the same night, and to fly to Darwin on Friday to begin an attempt on the record from Darwin to England when the weather reports are favourable.
