BERLIN RUMOUR DENIED
PLANES FROM AMERICA PURCHASE FOR SPAIN (Reed. July 15, 10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Jdly 13. The State Department records do not support Berlin allegations that Air France has purchased 20 Bellanca planes for the Spanish Government.
An official said it would be most difficult to smuggle planes from the United States.
WARNING SHOTS FIRED BRITISH SHIP STOPPED ORDER TO ALTER COURSE (Reed. July 15, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 14. The Admiralty states that the Almirante Cervera to-day signalled the British steamer Molton from London, which was inside Spanish territorial waters en route to Santender, to stop. The cruiser fired two warning shots.
The Molton submitted and proceeded on an altered course as directed by the cruiser.
