CORONER’S COMMENT NECESSITY ON HIGHWAYS (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ this day. “It seems to me that this case - emphasises the big responsibility of pedestrians who, in these days or increasing motor traffic, have to exercise equal care with motorists,” saict * the coroner, Mr. A. J. Graham, at the inquest to-day concerning the death of Percy Dodds, aged 76 years, - who sustained fatal injuries at Otaki on June 6. The evidence showed that the deceased became confused with the lights of two approaching cars while crossing the main road at an intersection. He ran in order to avoid one car, but collided with the rear of the other, which was Levelling at a speed of 15 miles an hour.
