INFLUX OF TOURISTS
INCREASE INDICATED MANY INQUIRIES MADE (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. If inquiries being made of the tourist bureaux of the Government are a criterion there will he a larger influx of visitors to New Zealand in this coming season than in past year*. . The Minister, the Hon. W. E. Parry, stated last evening that the Tourist Department had been more than usually busy for some time now planning itineraries for prospective visitors. It was his intention to go to Taupo, Tokaanu and Rotorua to confer with officers of the Department of Internal Affairs on matters connected with fisheries which came within his province. Mr. Parry referred to the increased number of New Zealanders travelling to-dav. “The issue of passports to people of our country making trips abroad has greatly extended,” he said. “Better times make better travelling for pleasure and business. The Government is keen to see that ample facilities are made for citizens of the Dominion to travel.”
