RAIN MEANS MORE FARES
MUNICIPAL BUS REVENUE AVERAGE OF 12-JD A MILE “Heavy rain during the period has improved the revenue,” reported the municipal bus manager, Mr. K. G. Ball, to the Gisborne Borough Council’s meeting last night. The average revenue per mile was 12.45 d higher than the usual average, which has been between lid and per mile recently. Mr. Ball reported that fares and subsidies totalled £304 3s 9d, and 5861 miles were run. Passengers carried totalled 28,176.
