HOCKEY TEAM'S VISIT

The Tikirau (Cape Runaway) ladies’ hockey team played a match with a local side in Te Araroa last Saturday. The visitors proved too good, winning by five goals to nil. Messrs. D. Turei and Newby were the umpires.

An enjoyable dance given by the local hockey club in honour of the Tikiyau visiting .’hockey team was held in the Rongomaitapui Hall on Saturday night. There was a large crowd. The visitors left for Cape Runaway and Raukokore after the dance, thus testifying to the improved state of the roads.
