CORONATION GROVE

SHOWGROUND PLANTING ENGLISH TREES DONATED A row of trees which may come tc be known as Coronation Grove will be planted on the Gisborne showgrounds next Monday by a working bee comprising, members of the Poverty Bay A. and P. Association.

The trees have been donated by supporters of the association in commemoration of the coronation of King George VI, and will replace a row ol willows and poplars planted two years ago to separate the public space on the western side of the oval from the parking area for members’ cars.

English trees with good autumn leaves are being donated for the purpose, and members have been asked to assemble at 8.30 a.m. on Monday to plant the Coronation Grove.
