MANCHUKUO PROTEST
RUSSIAN OCCUPATION ISLETS OF AMUR (Reed. June 30, 2 p.m.) TOKIO, June 29. Manchukuo has made representations against the occupation of the Amur islets. It is believed that the Ambassador has demanded the immediate withdrawal of Russian forces. The Japanese press hints that the protest may be the means of testing whether the confidence of the Soviet in her Far Eastern army remains unimpaired.
