CHAIRMAN'S NINTH YEAR COLLEAGUES' TRIBUTES COMMITTEE APPOINTED To-day for' the ninth year in succession, M'v. J- Tomblcsoii was re-elected c airman of the Gisbornc Harbour Board, his being Hie only nomination received. . . Mr. (!. Smith, in moving the motion, held thai there was no need U. recommend -Mr. Tomblcsoii, whose abilities as chairman had beeu keenly appreciated. Dr. J. C. Collins seconded the motion, and each member of the board voiced personal support of the nomination and their belief that the work of Mr. Tomblcsoii had been much appreciated by the, harbour district ratepayers. hi acknowledging his re-election, -Mr. Tomblcsoii stated that the board members were n most congenial group, and had given him every support, lie also owed his thanks, Mr. Tomblcsoii added, to the board's stall' ami lo the press. Mr. A. J. was re-appointed deputy-chairman, his nomination by the chairman receiving unanimous support.
