WAIRATA SMASH VICTIM
DEATH OF ME. G. W. OGG INQUEST' OPENED An inquest concerning the death of Mr. George William (Brian) Ogg, who died at the Opotiki Hospital on Tuesday as a result of a motoring accident near Wairata, on the Waioeka road, on April 19, was opened in Opotiki by the district coroner, Mr. F. J. Short. Evidence of identification was tendered by Mrs. D. *A. Ayson, of Auckland, mother of deceased. . Mrs. M.'A. Beattie, Gisborne, stated that the deceased was her nephew and had been living with her for 12 years. He left her place at 10 p.m. on Sunday, April. 18, stating that he intended to go to Wairata. in the Transport Company's lorry. He had been relieving at the Wairata School and was at home for the week-end. He was in perfect health when he left her. He said Mr. Hammond was going to take him on the lorry to Wairata.
No further evidence was called. The coroner adjourned the inquest sine' die.
