Glengarry, Wairoa, has been accepted by the Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company, Limitedfor the erection of the new factory. His was the lowest tender. Mr. Glengarry is a well-known Wairoa contractor at present completing a big hotel contract in Tauranga. An early start is not probable witli the factory as there are buildings to be shifted and re-erected first, but everything in the way of building should be ready for the opening of the spring season The Wairoa dairy factory has been operating for a long period at. the eorner of Frasertown road and Mahia avenue. and the suppliers have been handicapped to some extent by the need for letter accommodation to enable mere modern methods to be instituted. The company decided some time ago to call for tenders for a- new set of buildings. v The intention at first, was to move out into tho county area for various reasons, but it was eventually agreed to retain the old site. Plans were prepared by a Gisborne firm that were calculated to meet all the requirements of the directors, the management and the supplier's.
