It is officially announced that it has been decided to modify somewhat tho dales of school terms for' this year owing to their not opening till March 1. Tho term for primary and post-prim-ary schools will end on May Vi. Coronation Dav, the vacation commencing on the following day. Primary schools are to resume on May 31 and post-primary schools on June 1.
The second term ends on August 20 and the primary and secondary schools resume on September 6 and 7 respectively.
On account, of the curtailment, of tho school year, the director of education anticipates that no objection will ho raised to the shortening of the thirdterm vacation tor post-primary schools and to these remaining open till December 17.
