WHISKY ON TOUR
ONE CASK BROKEN INCIDENT OK WHARF (Per Tress Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. There was an unrehearsed incident, this morning during the unloading of a consignment of IC6 casks of whisky from the Kairanga, for transfer to the Tainaroa, in the course of a round-the-world voyage to accelerate maturity. A cask fell out of a sling and broke on the deck. Hie contents flowing freely.. The men produced cups and mugs, and one seized a bucket, but in response to the overseer's stentorian voice, work was promptly resumed, and soon only the odour remained.
