The staff of the. Commercial Bank of Australia in Gisborne this morning presented Mr. (!. B. Nobbs, lately manager of the branch, with a handsome suitcase as a. token of goodwill on the eve of his departure for Wesfport. where he is to take over Hit' managership of fho branch there. The presentation was made by Mi 1 . I.). IL Crease, accountant, who asked Mr. Nobbs to accept the staff's best wishes for his future success, and their thanks for his courtesy to each of the bank's employees under his charge. The departing manager expressed his keen appreciation of the farewell gift- and the goodwill extended to him, anil stated that he was sure (he same degree of goodwill and co-operation would be extended to his successor. Mr. Nobbs was farewelled also at. an informal gathering of district hank managers held last evening, when an opportunity was taken to wleoroe back to Gisborne his successor, Mr. A. F. Excel!.
