CHURCH ARMY
SERVICES IN MURIWAI (Herald Correspondent.) During the past week a branch of the Church Army’s travelling organisation has been stationed in Muriwai. Children’s services have been held each afternoon and adult services each evening by Captain Sutcliffe, assisted by Dir. 1 aimer. The keynote of the services lias been their brightness. The children have learnt many rousing action choruses, winch they sing with vigour.
At the evening services a lantern and coloured slides are used, the endeavour being made to reach the “heart way” through tho “eye way.” Maori and pakeha alike have much appreciated the visit of Captain Sutcliffe and his assistant, who by their enthusiasm and sincerity have done much during their stay in the district. The final service will be held on Sunday evening.
