SHOW PREPARATIONS SCHEDULE REVTSED NEW FLEECE COMPETITION (Herald Correspondent.) A committee meeting of the. Waivoa County A. and P. Society was held in the VVairoa Borough Council chambers, tho president, Mi\ A. T. Carroll, presiding. Before commencing the business, the chairman, stated that since they last met they had lost another member, Mr. A. T. Rainbow, who had been a very keen supporter and exhibitor., and ho moved a vote of condolence with the widow' and family of deceased, which was carried iu silence, all members standing. The Meal Board forwarded full details in connection with the annual fat lamb competition. The committee has arranged full particulars with Messrs. Swift (X.Z.). Limited, and these- will be advertised later.

The grounds committee's report was adopted and special thanks were accorded those helpers who had assisted in planting trees. The sheep yards and other building:; would receive the attention of the grounds committee before next show. The finance committee's report was adopted and several matters of importance were finalised. The sub-committees appointed to revise the various seetious of the schedule handed in their reports and from the thorough manner in which they dealt with them the society should greatly benefit by increased entries. The wool section has a new class, the inter-dis triet llecce competition, in which il was expected that fleeces from Ilawke's Bay. Poverty Day and Waii'nti districts will participate "and it is hoped thai all members will endeavour to show at least one lleece and assisl in building up this seel ion and make it one of the best in the Show. All the reports were adopted with very small alterations. Messrs. 1!-. J. and' K. S. Powdrell donated a cap for the champion cow in the Aberdeen Angus see! ion, and a very hearty vole of thanks was accorded Messrs. Powdrell Bros. Messrs. 11. B. Taylor and A. 0. doLautour were appointed delegates to attend the meeting of Ihe 'New Zealand Koime.il Club, which will be held in Hastings on October 21. Six new members were elected, including two junior members. Miss Anne Dickie was elected a- life member of the, society in recognition ot the services she rendered during the queen carnival last JanuaryOther mailers pertaining lo tho Show were complete,! and a very enthusiastic meeting closed with tho usual vote of thanks lo the chair.
