How lie assisted his lather and grandfather to send I lie first wireless messages in Australia 35 years ago was recalled by Professor W. L. Bragg at a luncheon at the Manchester Radio Exhibition.
"My grandfather, .Sir Charles Todd," he said, "was the first, Postmaster-Gen-eral of South Australia, lie was air old man when the first, news nf Marcoin's achievements readied Australia. Nevertheless he and my father creeled two stations two miles apart. I was just, old enough to help in sending and receiving the first messages."
Both. Sir William Bragg and his son, Professor W. L. Bragg, have, been awarded the Nobel prize for physics. Sir William Bragg was a. professor at Adelaide University from 1886 to 1908.
