BRITISH TERRITORIALS
NEW DEFENCE COMPANIES OVER 2000 ENROLLED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2 p.m. RUGBY, Sept, 18. The enrolment into national defence companies of the territorial army which are being formed for the purpose of protecting important points in Britain on the throat of and 'during war, opened on September 1, ami the War Office announced that the number enrolled to September 12 totalled 2081. In addition, there were some 2500 applications for enrolment which are still under consideration. The total establishment of these national defence companies will be approximately 8450.
