Miehic, 1.1’.N'.G., presiding over a largo attendance in the absence of Bro. .1. A. Yagg. X.G., who was in camp. Two members wore initiated during the evening, the conductors being Bro. R. \V. Wallen, 1’.0., and Sister V. Forbes. Sister 1.. Barker presided at the organ. A full report on the conference between friendly society representatives mu! the Hospital Board was given by Bro. F. C. Hllis. P.G., who explained certain small alterations in the old [agreement. He was accorded a hearty ivoto of thanks for his service in this : connection. ! The sick visitors’ reports showed a jlarge number of' members still receiving benefits. About f>o members had ! received sick pay during the quarter, I which was the heaviest yet recorded bv the lodge.

'l'he election of ollicers for the coming term resulted: —Noble grand, Bro. V. B. .Murray; vice-grand, Bro. J. G. A. Hughes: elective secretary, Rro, T. A. Berroaii. The last mentioned position was filled after it second ballot. The noble grand-elect appointed Bin. 0. A. Holmes, P.G., to the position of guardian, this office having been held bv him for the past HO years. A hearty vote of thanks was extended to Bro. Holmes for his long and faithful service.

The social commillee reported on preparations for the annual ball in Julv.

Several nominations fur membership were received, and with wailing candidates may be .available for initial ion next lodge night, when the installation of officers will also take place, to gather with the presentation 1 of regalia to the retiring .I.P.X.G. It was also arranged for degree lectures to lie given. Accounts totalling Y’2oo were passed for payment. Refreshments were served at the. close of the meeting.
