CAGE CRASHES DOWN SHAFT TOE!0, April Hi. Fifty miners wore known killed and 20 injured, soldo of them gravely; when tin elevator carrying 82 plunged to the bottom of the Chmvai Colliery pity near Fukuoka. The accident was due to a suddenly broken cable. Rescue squads extricated the oil bodies and the 20 injured and made feverish efforts fo reneli the remaining 12 before il was too late. Fukuoka is a town on the northwestern const of Kiuslui Island, SouMtvrn Japan’.
