DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS' SON FATHER FLIES FROM PARIS LONDON, April 3. Mr. Douglas Fairbanks, jun., film star, is among sufferers from influenza, which is claiming many victims in England after the rigorous winter. His condition is serious. He is in a London nursing home. The attack of influenza followed a breakdown for which overwork and nervous strain are blamed. Mr. Fairbanks is suffering periods of delirium. He is wrapped in blankets and is surrounded by bouquets, baskets and vases of flowers.* Great care is being taken to- save him from contracting pneumonia, of which he nearly died recently. Mr. Douglas Fairbanks, sen., with his new. wife, formerly Lady Ashley, flew back from Paris to see his son. Ho and the young man's mother, Mrs. Jack Whiting, are'the only people allowed fa see him. :
Even Miss Gertrude Lawrence, the celebrated actress, who is young Fairbanks' closest friend, is not admitted to his bedside. She sends messages and gifts daily. Ho writes her frequent notes, although his temperature is 103.
