SAFETY ON ROADS
NEW BRITISH DEVICE. DANGER SPOTS MARKED LONDON, April 2. The forest of road traffic notices and beacons installed throughout the country by the Minister of Transport, Mr. L. Hore-Belisha, has been augmented by others of a different type. These consist of sinister-looking black discs with the words: "Accident black spot. Warning. Pedestrians and drivers, take care."
The discs are appearing at spots which possess the worst records for accidents. The Ministry claims that its earlier preventive measures are saving thousands of lives every year.
