NORTHERN TOURNEY AUSTRALIAN'S FINE START (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) LONDON, April 11. The Australian golfer, Ferrier, competing in the northern open tournament, started the second round sensationally with two threes. Despite the storm, snow and sleet, which he felt terribly, he hit a colossal distance and had only one bad hole, the sixteenth, when a great drive finished out of bounds and he had to reduce, taking six. but finished with 72 and an aggregate of 155. Two more rounds will be played to-morrow. The leaders at present are R. S. Walker 73 and 72, 11. .1. Ballingall 79 and 67. T. Dobspn 75 and 74. J. Hatton 77 and 73.
