OBITUARY
MRS. N. WICKHAM
The death occurred at, the Cook Hospital yesterday of Mrs. Ann. Wickham, relict of the lat'e Air. Nimrod Wickham, at the advanced age of 89 years. Both Mr. and Mrs. .Wickham came from Home. Their marriage took place at Hayward’s Heath, Sussex, when Mrs. Wickham was 22 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Wickham came to Gisborne 33 years ago, and they had been residents in this district ever since. Tlio deceased was of a quiet and kindly disposition and had enjoyed good health until 12 months ago. She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. E. R. Atkinson of 41 Lyndhurst street, Gisborne, three grandchildren, Mrs. Talbot Smith, Patutahi, Mr. J. L. Atkinson, Hawcra, and Mr. It. O. Atkinson, Gisborne, as well as three great grandchildren. The funeral will leave tlio residence of deceased’s daughter at- 2 p.m. tomorrow for Taruheru cemetery.
FAMOUS SURGEON
ABERDEEN, Feb. J
Sir John Mnnibch, aged 118, world famous surgeon who for several years performed 4000 operations annually, died last night. Sir John was honorary surgeon for the Royal Family in Scotland.
