GIRL BATHER DROWNED
SEEN TO DISAPPEAR PLIGHT NOT REALISED (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, this day. Disappearing from sight while bathing with some other children at Lake Ngal oto, Kverell Marrion Cateley, 11 years of age, the daughter of Sir. A. E. ( ateley, of Ohaupo, was drowned on Saturday. The other children and the child’s mother saw the girl disappear, hut thought she was playing and it was only when she failed to reappear aftei some time that an alarm was given.
The body was recovered two hours later. At an inquest field in the afternoon, a verdict mat the deceased was accidentally drowned was returned.
