PAYING FOR RELIEF
MELBOURNE, July 4. Since the inception of unemployed relief in Victoria, five years ago, £13.350,130 had been allocated for relief purposes and C12.020.C113 had been spenf up to Afarc-h 31. Actually the funds raised up to the end of dune will amount •to £13.808.750. Of the £13,808.750. £8.165.000 was raised by State taxes. £893.750 was received .from the Federal Government, and £d.750.C00 was loan money.
