GIRL ON WATER CYCLE
SYDNEY, Nov. 26.
Catalina Galmes, 13, of Ocean road, Manly, followed the destroyer Stuart, on which the Duke of Gloucester went to Manly on Saturday, on a water cycle. She crossed tho Heads safely, and was cycling along in grand style in the dostroyer’s wake when the wash of a steamer caught her craft opposito Middle Head and capsized it. The girl sank from view, and when she reappeared screamed, “I can’t swim.” A girl in a launch immediately dived into the water, and after u swim of a hundred yards grasped the startled, half-drowned girl. A police launch took the girl and her rescuer aboard. The water cycle was salvaged.
