RAKAUROA NEWS
SCHOOL BREAK-UP

The annual prize-giving of the Rakauroa 'School was held last week in the presence of a large attendance of parents and friends. The chairman of the committee, Mr C. Hyndman, presented the prizes and congratulated Mr Worthington on his enthusiasm and ability. Master Mcrvin Brown, on behalf of the school children; presented Mr Worthington with a crystal flower bowl and fruit dish on the occasion of his approaching marriage. The children passed the afternoon playing games, and later a dainty supper was served by the ladies present. Those present included Mesdames Redpath, Hyndman, Hueston, R, C. Beaufoy, Greaves, Grace, R. Beaufoy, Bennett, Richardson, Lindley, Robinson, and 11. Beaufoy; Missfs 0. Greaves, L. Beaufoy, and B. Smart; Messrs. Worthington, Redpath, Hynd man, and R. Beaufoy, jun.
Miss 0. Greaves, of the nursing stall of the Cook Hospital, is staying with iter mother. Miss E. Greaves is returning to her home at Rakauroa on Saturday.
