7’he Waimea arrived from Auckland early this morning and sailed later for Auckland.

The Wainui left Lyttelton yesterday for Napier. The vessel is due here about Monday next and after working this port sails for Dunedin. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Kent is to Joad frozen meat, wool and general cargo for United Kingdom ports at Gisborne about January 2. The Cambridge is expected to arrive at Gisborne on January 7 1o load frozen meat, and general cargo for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow.

The P, emu era. New Zealand Shipping Company, is to load at Tokomaru' Bay about February 4, taking frozen meat and wool for London.

The Pukeko discharged and loaded here last night and sailed at 1 a.m. to-day for Napier. She is to he dispatched from (lie Hawke’s Bay port, this evening for Portland, in order to load there on Monday night. The vessel loads again at Auckland for Gisborne and Napier on Thursday, January 3.

The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s motor vessel Karnmea is to load at Gisborne for London on January 17. Her cargo from this port will consist of frozen meat, dairy produce and general cargo. The Kararcca is to leave Napier finally on January 27 and should arrive Home on March 4, in time for the London March wool sales.

The Commonwealth and Dominion Line vessel Port Chalmers has been fixed to load Homewards at Gisborne about Thursday of next week. The Monowai will leave Sydney today for Auckland The vessel is due on Monday morning and she will leave the same evening for Whangaroa, Russell and Port Fitzroy with excursionists. She is schecTuled to return to Auckland from the cruise tlio following) Friday morning and to sail later the same day for Sydney. ’The Waimea, which has traded regularly between Auckland, Gisborne and Napier since 1927, arrived at Gisborne this morning oil what will probably he her last trip to this port for a considerable time. On completion of discharge here this morning she sailed for Auckland to tie up for the. holidays, but fur-t tlier than that it lias not been announced what will bo her -movements. As a result of the withdrawal of the Waimea, an agreement has been reached between the Union Company and the Gisborne Sheepfarmers Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company whereby the Margaret W. in future will cater for the AucklandGisborne trade. Tn Auckland the joint booking agents for Gisborne cargo will be the Union Company and the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company. At Gisborne cargo for Auckland will be booked jointly by the Union Company and the Sheepfarmers’ Company.
