MISSING AIR LINER SEVEN PERSONS ABOARD SEARCHERS HANDICAPPED (British Official Wireless.) Reo. 2 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 20. It is feared' that- the lost Dutch Douglas air liner was forced clown during a terrific thunderstorm and had visibility in Egypt, and tho state of i.ne ground will make a search difficult; both for aircraft and on land. The air race competitor, Mr. Gcysendorffer, piloting a Fokker, leaves Amterdam at. midnight for Bagdad as rapidly as possible, and will use Bagdad as a. base from which to search for the missing liner, which was piloted by Commander Beckman, with a crew of three and also three passengers, Mr. D. Berretty, Mr. D. Ivort, and Professor Waller, all Dutchmen. A Cairo message states that the Royal Air Force search was suspended owing to the tempestuous weather, but mey he resumed at dawn if conditions improve.
