TOKOMARU BAY V. MATA A F.ffiST INNINGS WIN (Herald Correspondent.) Playing at Tokornaru Bay during tho week-end, ilio Mata cricket, team scored a good -first-innings win over Tokornaru Bay. Conditions were excellent for the patch, and the visitors made themselves at home on the wicket, which was in good order. Batting first, Mata made 128, J. Ludbrook 25, G. Box 17 not out, S. Copas .15, G. Mill 12, J\ r . Cottle 12, and Ferraby 12 being the main contributors. Joe Moody took three wickets, and Jack Moody and W. Oates two each. Tokomaru -Bay’s reply was a disappointing 56, Joe Moody 11, R. Jackson 11, and Rollover 9 being the best of the batsmen. N. 'Cottle and G. Mill each took three wickets, and G. Ruffin two. In their s’cond innings, Mala declared with three wickets down for 60 runs, and Tokornaru Bay had 44 on the board for the loss of two wickets when time was called. Details: MATA First Innings
