Members of the (Ipotiki Life-Saving Cltio were instrumental in effecting ii rescue in the surf at JTukuwai beach on Satu relay. A hid named Budd was caught in a strong rip and was being carried out to sea. Two members of the club swam out to the hoy's assistance and experienced difficulty in returning to the shore. Other members waded out, and by joining hands made contact with the rescuers, who were pulled ashore.
