AMERICAN AIRMEN CONTINUANCE •OP SEARCH (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received December 18, 2 p.m.) HONOLULU, Dec. 17. In a joint observance of aviation day and a tribute to Ml*. Charles Ulm and his crew, 110 army and navy aeroplanes tiew in formation to-day over Honolulu and dropped flowers into the Pacific Ocean off Diamond Head. The Lanakai, which is to continue the search, was the former German trading schooner Hermes, and tied here at the outbreak of the war. with an Australian cruiser searching for her about the Marshall Isles. Rite, slipped past the Japanese warship Ilizpii, off the popt, while a sister schooner, the Aeolus, was captured and sunk by the Ilizen. The Lanakai is now engaged in. fishing cruises. She is equipped with a Diesel engine.
