SOVIET ASSASSINATION
OFFICIAL EXPLANATION LONG-STANDING FEUD (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Dec. 18, II a.m.) MOSCOW, Dec. 17. An official explanation of M. Kirov’s assassination is contained in resolutions of the Moscow and Leningrad Communist committees. They declare that the murder was the result of an old feud between Slalinit-es and supporters of Trotsky and Zinoviev, who, when defeated in an open fight, resort to banditry. The resolutions foreshadow a merciless drive .against enemies.
