CHARGES WITHDRAWN
SON OF PRESIDENT SPANISH REVOLT ECHO (Received Dec. 18, 11 a.m.) MADRID, Dec. 17. The court-martial withdrew the charge against Corporal Luis Zamora, the President’s son. He -was defended by his brother, who is a lawyer. When Corporal Zamora was arrested, his father urged the -Cabinet to -carry out the law regardless of his personal feelings. The Cabinet thereupon ordered a court-martial. -Corporal Zamora was .arrested because when recruits were ordered to undergo an extra month’s service owing to the political situation, he addressed others, saying: “Why don’t we all go home?”
