MOREUE SCHOOL CONCERT (Herald Correspondent.) A most delightful entertainment was gvveu by the pupils of the Alorere School at the L.D.S. Hail, Nuhaka, on Friday evening, under the able tuition of Aiiss vV. Spindle, tins being the annual concert. 1 lie hall was libed, and every item was received with great applause. The stage and lighting effects were well carried out, wnich added greatly to Die success of the evening. Tlie dresses were varied and colorful. Great credit is clue co the iittle band of 23 children for the manner in which they performed, and to die teacher for the production and staging of the concert, much patience having oeen exercised. It would be difficult to individualise any item, each one being worthy of its merited success. The accompaniments were played by Airs. A. Gieuny. piano, and Air. G. Bhaw, violin. Dui mg an intermission, Air. M, It. Shaw, cnainnan of the school committee, thanked the audience for their large attendance, and the parents for the way they had helped in making thq dresses. Much praise was due to l\liss Spindle, whom lie wished to thank, on belialf ol the school committee. Supper was served by the Alorere people, after which dancing was enjoyed, the music being supplied by Mr. Ken Smith and bis lvlic Kiao dance orchestra.

" The Duel,” Pat Sliortt; song, “When You and 1 were Young,” Pat Barrett and Alary Tait; dance, Margery Creo and juniors; songs, “Hark tlie Lark,” and "Oh Hush Thee My Baby,” school; recitation, “Vespers,” Jack Stewart; dance, “Siege oi Euniss, Jack Stewart; orchestral selection, Klic Klac Orchestra; play, “Friends,” senior boys; song and dance, “To a Aliniature,” Judy and Pat Sliortt; recitation, “Happy Veddy,” Joyce Joblin and Jack Stewart; recitation, “The Boy with the Little Bare Toes,’’ Crystal Jameson; dance, “Bridge of Avegnon,” juniors; sketch, “House that Jack Built,” juniors; dance, “Parson’s Farewell,” Stds. 4,5, and 6; dance, “Bleking,” seniors; ( maypoie dance, “Come Lassies and Lads,” school; closing carol, “The First Noel,” school.

Alorere residents are excited, contemplating the visit of the Duke of Gloucester and his retinue on Thursday. The Royal party will dine at the Hot Springs' Hotel, and mine host, Air. E. B. Short, and his efficient staff, have the preparations well in hand. The Royal entourage is expected at approximately 1.06 p.m.
