At the last meeting of the District High School committee the finances were discussed, and it was decided to prepare a special statement for the information of tite committee’s representative on the Hawke’s Bay Education Board. Air. W. IT. Brady’s tender for the removal of the dental clinic to another site was accepted. Members took the opportunity to farewell the headmaster, Mr. J. T. Robson. Air. J. McGoldrick has donated trophies for a double scull event of the Wairoa Boating. Club. There are 17 entries. and all the races must bo rowed by Friday night. The Hospital Board acknowledges receipt of £5 from Mr. J. Devane for the patients’ Christmas cheer, and also £1 from Mrs. G. Perkins. There are 31 patients in hospital.
