FEWER UNEMPLOYED
BLENHEIM’S EXPERIENCE (Pur Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. There has been a decrease of nearly 25 per cent, in local unemployment registrations since September, and it is anticipated that there will be a further substantial reduction early next month, when harvesting will bo in full swing. Some trades, notably carpentering, report a shortage of skilled labor,, this being accounted for by the number of building jobs being carried on simultaneously. At the same time, this condition probably is only of a temporary character, and it would be unwise for tradesmen unemployed in other districts to arrive on the off chance of a job here.
