The Daily Express says that the British Broadcasting Corporation has arranged with Richard Long, aged 95 years, the oldest inhabitant of the tiny Warwickshire village of Umington, to speak the Empire's Christmas greetings to the King. Villagers will gather in an old tithe barn on Christmas Day and sing a carol and an old folk song. Then Mr. Long will read a message to the King and speak, and then villagers will sing three lines of the National Anthem. Tire broadcast will then be switched.to Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, and Canada, where will be sung the remaining lines until the end of the third verse. Massed. choirs ,of the: Empire will sing the final line of the chorus.
