LITHUANIAN TRIALS ALLEGED NAZI PLOTS (Received Dec. 15, 11 a.m.) KOVNQ, Dec. 14. The trial of the Nazis is expected to last two months. The prosecution is calling 296 witnesses, and the defence 150,
A message yesterday stated: Investigations lasting for many months culminated in the discovery of an alleged plot by Nazis living in Memel territory to seize a portion of Lithuania and transfer it to Germany bv armed force. Memel Storm Troopers allegedly carried out secret military exercises and established a special court to deal with “traitors.” The police rounded up 126 Nazis, who to-morrow will face a mass court-martial. Seven are accused of murdering a “traitor” named Jesuttis. A majority deny treachery against Lithuania, and declare that they were merely maintaining German traditions.
